TAD provides personalised equipment and advice to people with disabilities and their carers, through innovative solutions and the services of volunteers and staff.

TAD helps people with disabilities rejoin the workforce, participate in sport and recreation, enrol in education or study programs or to simply live more independent lives.

This is done through our Custom Designed Equipment service and through our Computer Support Service.

The FREEDOM WHEELS MODIFIED BIKE SERVICE enables children with disabilities to be given the opportunity to ride a bike for the first time.

Matt Photo Bike and Medal

Hi Guys,

My name is Matthew Pignatelli and a member of the Illawarra Cycling Club and the Illawarra Academy of Sports cycling squad, with team mates Brad and Holly Heffernan.

I bought a Cell Victor road bike and think its great value for money.

On the 9th of April 2011, I rode in the NSW Hill Climb Championships held in Bathurst.

I won the Silver Medal.

Thanks Cell for a great bike (Photo included)

Cheers

Training program – 2 weeks in

Posted by Sarah M on May 1st, 2011
Sorry about the long silence. I was depressed - it hurt and I was crap. And lethargic (read half dead!!) between sessions. It still hurts but the last 3 sessions have been "easier" to maintain the splits. I didn't dare write until I was sure it wasn't just one good day. But don't tell Tank cos he will up the ante;) As he reminded last time I talked, these sessions were just a warm up. Wish me luck....Oh, and I also put on more than a kilo - hope its all muscle:/

Just finished my first training session. Now sitting as a jibbering wreck, drinking my prescribed protein shake (within 10 mins of finishing training, in order to maximise recovery for the next round in 48 hours) and sticking pins in a Tank voodoo doll. Today was 10 mins warm up, 20 mins "work" (varying resistance, all at 90rpm) and 20 mins warm down.

With only 4 months to go until my European Adventure (a 2000km ride to raise money for the RSPCA equine unit) I thought it was time to get fit. With the generous loan of a fluid trainer by my sponsors at Cell Bikes and a kind offer by my friend Tank (Terry Doherty), today was the start of a lot of pain. Tank turned up to my assessment with the Australian track cyclists power training program - from this point on known as Terrible Tanks terrifying training program. Any aspirations he might have had for me were blown away in the gentle breeze generated by my pitiful efforts on the trainer. But at least there is (ample) room for improvement, the only way is up! We reduced the resistance by half and the duration of the session by a quarter and still I left on shaky legs wondering how I would ever get out of bed tomorrow morning....let alone go to work and function as a human being. At least I have 3 days of respite before the real work begins - it will take Tank that long to tailor the ambitious program to my more realistic needs. Right, I'm off to yoga. Zzzz

Being a bicycle lover has never been better!

With many companies offering 'custom' colours and builds, you can have your cake...and eat it too!

CELL Custom Fixies allow you to 'Build Your Own Fixie' at a price well below the competitions 'regular' stock fixies.

Whereas before, you were 'locked in' to how your bike looked, as decided by the manufacturer...many companies (including CELL) allow you to choose your:

Saddle Colour

Grip Colour

as well as the colour of your fixie rims & tyres!

Being an individual has never been easier!
